Social Ministries 

  • Social Service Office- Open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.- Noon, the social service office is located in classroom #3 of the school building and provides emergency assistance for food, rent, and utility to those living within parish boundaries or registered parishioners. I.D. is necessary to receive services and those seeking utility or rent assistance must have eviction, shut off, or disconnection notices. Rent assistance requires that those seeking assistance lives in public housing (SAHA). 

  • C.O.P.S./ Metro Alliance – Founded in 1976, Citizens Organized for Public Service (C.O.P.S.) and Metro Alliance is a grassroots network of local churches and other organizations interested in joining together in building a more just and equitable San Antonio.  Our parish core group is dedicated to forming leaders in the parish, as well as actively listening to the needs and concerns of our parish and neighborhood communities.  For more information, please visit us at


  • Amor Sin Fronteras – A parish ministry aimed at accompanying resettled refugees and families transitioning out of homelessness.  ASF volunteers work closely with case managers and supports staff from Catholic Charities and Haven For Hope in order to provide displaced families and individuals the support they need for a successful transition to their new reality here in San Antonio.  For more information, please contact Fr.   • Senior Nutrition Center – One of six city-sponsored, parish-based centers providing meals to the “wisdom figures” of our neighborhood and parish community.  Seniors can also just come and relax together, celebrate together, exercise together, as well as attending other outings and activities.  The center is open in the parish hall Monday through Friday 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
